MethaneSAT - Senior Product Manager
Software product management across a full product line for atmospheric methane measurements using satellite technology. Drove the user experience design and development of MSAT’s geospatially mapped global methane emission rate data. Led product strategy and development for the United Nations International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) software product for methane emission attribution, which acts as the global software infrastructure for tracking, detecting, and attributing large methane emissions worldwide.
● Led MSAT’s B2C product development and owned the roadmap from conception to demo, beta release, and public release
● Led MSAT’s first international trade show demo with over 100,000 attendees in Abu Dhabi, influencing National Oil Company engagement toward new Global Methane Pledge commitments
● Developed, led and managed customer engagement strategy pulling in over a dozen internal and external beta partners, distilling use cases that led to a strategic realignment of our product’s primary user - environmental regulatory agencies.
● Defined and influenced UI/UX product direction, concept and iterations based on customer use cases, user testing, product vision and key value add while following a user-centered design approach
● Led and drove cross functional business partnerships between MSAT and IMEO which resulted in delivering methane data products that created 100+ alerts for country level partners.
● Wrote and guided UN product proposals with annual budgets ranging $500k-$1M
● Built the internal product strategy, roadmap and led the vision of our internal data management platform from concept to MVP.
ABB - Product Lead
I began my experience testing and troubleshooting laser analyzers on the production floor and lead training during the company’s production transfer to Quebec City.
The next year I was promoted to the R&D group as an Applications Engineer and expanded my spectroscopy skills for customer specific applications in the Oil & Gas industry.
The following year, and my current role, I launched into the Product Lead role successfully managing the software and hardware development of the company’s first hand-held methane leak detection solution. I drive the design and focus on improving the leak find rate and user experience for our customers. Research to improve the find rate influenced by bio-mimetic methodology has resulted in a filed patent.
Demonstrating ABB’s two solutions for methane leak detection: MobileGuard™ and MicroGuard™.
Applied Materials - Process Engineer
My time here encompassed the full scope of plating silicon wafers for the semiconductor industry; from ideas to failure analysis with tight weekly and daily deadlines in efforts to win customer business. I collaborated with a small team of process engineers and scientists to tackle our biggest challenges decisively. As a result, we were awarded recognition for team excellence.
Research
Lund University, Lund, Sweden
Collaborated with a diverse team of researchers measuring the time of flight of electrons. Created a 3D Helmholtz computer model - self taught in COMSOL - which would improve the group’s ability to measure the path and trajectory of electrons.
Undergraduate experience
University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon
I executed lab experiments coating glass slides and imaging them with a Scanning Electron Microscope for one professor, while managing and setting up physics lab experiments for undergraduate students.
Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado
Assisted a research team studying Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lasers by designing equipment in SolidWorks and machining it with a lathe and drill press. I also polished molybdenum targets to enhance the gain medium of the EUV laser.
